About the role

Ruby Digital is looking for a Content writer to join our team.

• You will work on a diverse range of clients, delivering measurable return on investment and organic growth.
• You will work alongside SEO specialists, developers, social media managers and Google Ad experts to optimize the online presence of these clients.

Responsibilities

• Keyword research and content development for SEO. This may include blog posts, outreach articles, landing page copy, long-form web content, Meta descriptions and title tags
• Ensure content is delivered on time with no grammatical and spelling errors
• Manage content deadlines set according to the client’s content calendar
• Work with Performance team to ensure that content is created according to SEO best practice
• Write persuasive ad copy for Paid advertising (Google Search ads, Google Display and Paid Social ads)
• Writing engaging content for various social networks, including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and Instagram
• Optimising social media copy (language, tone, message) based on our target audience’s behaviours
• Writing newsletters and mailers for email marketing
• Work under pressure and be fully adaptable to the ever-changing world of digital marketing
• Contribute on an ongoing basis to the Ruby Digital blog
• Provide strategic input to the growth team for new client quotes.

Attributes & Requirements

• Passion for digital marketing and creating meaningful content
• You’re experienced with writing for SEO and understand how it applies to content marketing
• You pay meticulous attention to detail and produce error-free writing
• Excellent spelling and grammar
• Working knowledge of copywriting for social media
• Able to always find a new angle when writing about the same topic
• Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills
• Awesome organizational skills and able to manage deadlines
• A willingness to take ownership of the work
  Hard work ethic and self-starter
• Computer literacy (Microsoft Word/Google Docs and Excel/Google Sheets)
• Experience in an agency environment advantageous
• Your own laptop/Desktop computer
• Ability and passion to educate and share industry knowledge with less experienced team members
• Demonstrate resourcefulness and the initiative to lead advanced projects
• Comfortable with various CMS platforms and the ability to troubleshoot and solve various issues common with these systems

Education

Diploma Level Education and minimum 2 years experience in an agency environment
