About the role

Ruby Digital is looking for a Social & Email Marketing Specialist to join our team. You will work on a diverse range of clients, delivering measurable return on investment. You will work alongside other social media coordinators, email marketing specialists, performance specialists, developers, and content writers to optimise the online presence of these clients.

Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end execution of social media, paid social and email marketing deliverables across assigned client accounts.
  • Compile, analyse, and confidently communicate monthly performance reports across social media, paid social, and email marketing, including insights and recommendations
  • Lead the production of social media, paid social, and email marketing strategies independently, with input from senior team members where required
  • Ensure all organic social content, paid social ads, and email campaigns are scheduled, launched, and monitored accurately and on time
  • Lead the production of social media, paid social and/or email marketing strategies in collaboration with senior team members
  • Conduct competitor, audience, content, and platform research to inform optimisation within each channel
  • Proactively optimise social media, paid social, and email marketing activity based on channel performance data, best practices, and capacity planning
  • Write high-quality copy for social media posts, paid ads, and email campaigns, aligned to each brand’s tone and channel best practices
  • Brief designers with clear, actionable direction for social media, paid social, and email marketing deliverables
  • Complete various tasks with instruction from senior team members in accordance to capacity planning
  • Build, launch, manage, and optimise paid social campaigns across platforms including Meta Business Manager and LinkedIn Campaign Manager
  • Ensure tracking, CRM integrations, and conversion events are correctly implemented and maintained for paid social and email marketing
  • Proactively manage ad rejections, account applications, platform issues, and account-level risks, engaging platform support teams where required
  • Email marketing mailer calendar creation in line with approved client strategies
  • Write, design, build, test, and schedule email campaigns and journeys within platforms such as Mailchimp
  • Email marketing monthly management (tracking, database health & audience segmentation and journey optimisation)
  • Performing email marketing set-up tasks, including automations, CRM integrations and conversion tracking
  • Review junior team outputs to ensure quality, accuracy, and alignment with best practices
  • Provide guidance, feedback, and mentorship to graduate and junior team members across social media, paid social, and email marketing
  • Actively contribute to improving internal processes, templates, and workflows.

Attributes & Requirements

  • Strong passion for digital marketing with a solid understanding of social media and email marketing ecosystems
  • Experience using tools such as Hootsuite, Google Analytics, and email marketing platforms (e.g. Mailchimp or Klaviyo)
  • Proven experience delivering performance-oriented social and email campaigns
  • Hands-on experience creating, managing, and optimising campaigns across multiple social platforms
  • You’re experienced using various social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn & Twitter/X)
  • Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Curiosity about anything and everything social media and email marketing
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to turn data into actionable insights
  • Awesome organizational skills
  • A willingness to take ownership of the work
  • Proactive, solutions-focused mindset with the ability to work independently
  • Hard work ethic and self-starter
  • Strong computer literacy (Microsoft Word/Google Docs and Excel/Google Sheets)
  • Experience in an agency environment

  • A stable and high-bandwidth internet connection

Education

  • Diploma Level Education
  • 2 to 3 years of experience in an agency environment is beneficial
