Specific Responsibilities:

  • Own the entire sales cycle to include aggressively prospecting, developing, and closing leads using a variety of online and offline sources.
  • Qualify prospective customers by phone and close deals over the phone or in-person depending on customer engagement.
  • Meet and exceed individual daily, weekly, and monthly activity and sales goals.
  • Ability to thrive in autonomous working environment with minimal supervision while maintaining focus and productivity, meeting deadlines, and showing relentless persistence.
  • Work closely with the digital team in order to write compelling proposals which are in line with the digital operations strategic recommendations.
  • Communicate with the digital operations team in order to identify new technologies which can be incorporated into the products/services.
  • Carry out ongoing competitor product research to provide recommendations around product development.
  • Assist with the streamlining of the sales process.

Job Requirements

  • A confident and clear communicator, both in person and on the phone, able to quickly build excellent working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Adaptable to be able to take on different tasks as the agency progresses
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Aggressive and enthusiastic learning: Learn fast, be proactive and contribute enthusiastically.

  • Be commercially bottom line focused.
  • High standard writing skills. Fundamentals like grammar and spelling are a given.
  • We love our clients and take a lot of time to understand them and educate them about what we do. You’ll be the first line in that process to ensure clients understand their marketing needs and opportunities.

Education and/or Experience:

  • At least 2 years of proven successful sales experience in marketing or advertising.
  • Educated to a Matric level.

  • Conceptualize and produce high quality engaging content.
  • Conducting keyword research in order to assist your content strategy.

Ruby Digital is looking for a passionate and proactive Digital Account Manager to work on a great portfolio of accounts across both locally and internationally.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing various projects, accountable for client liaison, maintaining relationships with client on a client service level, campaign development and management.

Management of client accounts and all facets of client service and of the delivery of agency services in an efficient and effective manner.


  • Administering all day-to-day client communication activities
  • Establish and maintain a productive communication between the client and the agency
  • Ensure a smooth and timeous workflow of activities directed at the client
  • Coordinate and manage all agency services to the client
  • Work closely with and provide support to the head of operations
  • Work with other departments to ascertain time estimate approval, timelines and follow the project through actual development and final deployment


  • Minimum of 1 year of advertising agency experience
  • Marketing or communications degree preferable
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Excellent presentation skills
