About the role

  • You will be joining the Performance Team in an Analyst position.
  • You will work on a diverse range of clients, delivering measurable return on investment.
  • You will work alongside other Performance Team members, developers, social media managers and content writers to optimise the online presence of these clients.
  • To be successful in this role, you should have a brilliant understanding of SEO and Google Ads
  • This is a remote role in South Africa

Responsibilities

  • Conducting keyword research, optimising website content and structure, including title tags and descriptions, internal linking, architecture, and other technical factors and implementation thereof to improve rankings for target keywords
  • Monitoring Google Ads campaign performance and adjusting optimise campaign performance
  • Write compelling Google Ads ad copy
  • Setting up and managing campaign budgets and bids
  • Monitoring, compile and communicate reports with recommendations to improve client ROI and deliver value
  • Have a strong understanding of international SEO best practices.
  • Providing training and guidance to Performance Team members on SEO and Google Ads best practices
  • Keep pace with industry trends and developments specific to SEO and Google Ads
  • Research and evaluate new technology trends and identify new campaign optimisation opportunities and present to team
  • Complete tasks in line with priorities and due dates set out by Success Team and assist with tasks assigned by Team Leader & HoD
  • Assist in answering technical questions asked by Success Team to develop understanding and knowledge of services rendered

Attributes & Requirements

  • Your own laptop/desktop computer that meets minimum specifications as defined by Employment Contract
  • Experience with tools like Semrush, Screaming Frog, Google Analytics, Google Search
  • Console, Google Data Studio & Google Tag Manager
  • Have proven knowledge of various backlinking methods
  • Passion for digital marketing and strong technical SEO experience
  • Curiosity about anything and everything SEO and Google Ads
  • You have proven experience in delivering performance-oriented search engine optimisation
  • Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Awesome organisational skills
  • A willingness to take ownership of the work
  • Strong work ethic and self-starter
  • Computer literacy (Microsoft Word/Google Docs and Excel/Google Sheets)
  • Experience in an agency environment
  • Ability and passion to educate and share industry knowledge with less experienced team members
  • Demonstrate resourcefulness and the initiative to lead advanced projects

Education

Tertiary qualification in marketing AND minimum 3 years’ experience.
